Well, as many of you are aware of today is Thanksgiving Day, a day for us to be thankful for God's many blessings. It's also a wonderful time of the year to spend with family! I have been blessed so much in my life. I am incredibly thankful this year for the wonderful marriage I have to an amazing man (of course I am talking about Bryan), for more family :-) , to spend time with my parents and sister, and that my schooling is almost completed. God has been very good to me and I praise His name for His faithfulness.
Everyone knows that for Thanksgiving you overstuff yourself with a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. This year Bryan and I will be overstuffing ourselves TWICE!! On Wednesday evening Bryan and I drove to Greenfield to spend time with the family. It was a wonderful time of playing scrabble (which I am not good at and do not seem to know my own language), watching A Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving, playing Catch Phrase, an UNO tournament (which my mother-in-law won, CONGRATULATIONS Janet!!), and finishing off the evening watching David Letterman. We spent the night so that we would not miss our first Thanksgiving meal, which is around noon.
Well, I did mention that this year we will be stuffing ourselves twice! So, after we eat our first Thanksgiving meal we will be traveling to my parents house to eat the second meal! Bryan and I are incredibly excited for the time we will get to spend with both families this year! But the fun does not stop after the meal this evening!
My father and I for the past several years have become the braves one and faced the terror of Black Friday (which has always been exciting and no I am not lying). Tomorrow, Bryan, my father, and I will be shopping in Greenwood while my mother and sister shop in my hometown! After which we will all return home and eat my mother's famous turtles (both milk chocolate and dark chocolate) and drink Kristen's Christmas Punch (which is also famous)! What a wonderful way to finish out Black Friday. I will definitely let you know how it goes!
Well, I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! And remember to say stop and thank God for everything that He has blessed you with amidst the turkey meals and football games!
